Maine is not as well known for technology as some other states, but it does offer information security analysts job opportunities in many sectors, such as manufacturing, health sciences and biotech. Maine is rich in natural resources like timber, agricultural products and fish, and some of its largest employers are concerns like paper mills and bottled water manufacturers. Portland is one of the largest and busiest ports in the region, and the state is home to several large shipyards, including naval shipyards.
